Softball BC District 7 held their volunteer appreciation night last night. Four members of the Surrey Storm family were recognized for their volunteer efforts.

Jason Ratcliffe, manager of the 04B team, was recognized for all the work he has done managing the team as well as organizing the 2018 U14 B Provincial Championships.

Kyley Wilcott has been on our board of directors for a year and a half and has been in charge of our house program. She has help run our very successful Learn to Play program as well as many of our social functions.

Corry Clark has also been on our board of directors for a year and a half. When she is not reading the Softball Canada Rule Book, she has been doing loads of work rewriting our bylaws and taking care of other legal requirements. She is also one of our go to people for social functions.

Jeff Harper has been our social media manager for the past year and has revamped our approach to social media. He also runs our Friday Night Camp to get more kids into softball.

Congrats all and thanks to all the volunteers that come out and help us. It is your work that keeps this great sport alive. If you are interested in helping whether it’s being an umpire or coach, team manager, helping out at the fields, please contact us at biz@surreystorm.com.
