The Surrey Storm organization wishes to congratulate 2nd Base - Taylore Jones of Maple Ridge BC from the Surrey Storm 1998A midget team who has officially signed with the UBC Thunderbirds Softball team.  Taylore played her minor ball for Ridge Meadows Minor Softball Association, Ridge Meadows Pride 98A until she moved to Surrey Storm 1998A.  For the past 5 years Taylor has played for the Storm 98A team with seasoned head coach Roger Boily.  Taylore is a silver and two time bronze medalist from the Canadian National softball Championship, including bronze the last two years in a row.  During her time with Storm Taylore demonstrated her hard work ethic, sportsman ship and outstanding play culminating in her interest, offer and signing with the UBC Thunderbirds Softball team.  Over the past number of years she had the opportunity to partake in many tournaments throughout Canada and the USA.  Taylore is also a multi-sport athlete playing both basketball and volleyball for her high school Samuel Robertson Technical Senior Secondary School and high level soccer during the softball “off-season”.

Taylore has very much enjoyed playing for the Storm organization and is looking forward to playing for UBC under Head Coach Gord Collings and his staff.  She is excited for the new challenge it will bring and continuation of her development as collegiate softball player.  Taylore is thankful to all her teammates, coaches and parents for their support over the years and in their encouragement to pursue her goal of playing softball at the collegiate level.  She will be entering UBC this fall and will be taking the Bachelor of Arts program.

The Surrey Storm organization wishes Taylore the very best and continued success in her softball and schooling as she joins UBC this coming fall.

Way to go Taylore!
