The Storm 2003A girls were down in Kent Wa for this past weekend for their last crack at the Acers Mothers Day tournament & have gone out with bang - after battling their way to the final for the first time.

The Storm girls had a solid round robin with wins over Tri City Titans 04 (4-2), Oregon Thuner (10-0) and a loss to the eventual tournament champions the Washington Ladyhawks (2-10). The 2-1 round robin record was enough to get them second place in their pool and a berth in the 16 team gold playoff bracket. From there they faced the Oregon Titans (10-5) & with that win went on to face a familiar team, Delta Heat 03.  The girls had a big second inning against Heat sealing an 11-4 win and a date in the semi final with Acers Glenn.

The semi final was a re-match of the first round playoff loss from the Sidewinders Invitational two weeks ago & this time the girls came out on a mission with a commanding 16-1 win earning them their spot in the final against the Ladyhawks.  The girls played well but came up on the short end of a 6-0 loss - giving them a well deserved second place finish in the 32 team tournament.

Great job this weekend ladies, we know you made all of your moms very proud of you!

Next up for Storm 2003A - Canadian Pride and Power this weekend.
