The Surrey Storm 04B team spent the Mothers' Day weekend in Victoria to participate in the Langford Lightning Mothers' Day Bash tournament.   The weekend saw bright sunshine, warm weather and lots of action.  Saturday started with a convincing 16-1 win over the Victoria Devils 07A team.   Storm played back-to-back to start Saturday and eked out a 1-0 win against the host Langford Lightning, the local favourites to win the tournament.  Later in the afternoon, Storm took on the Sooke Sliders 05B and prevailed, 10-2.  Sunday morning saw a rematch vs Sooke Sliders due to seeding and Emily's no-hitter plus some timely hitting saw a 10-0 run-rule victory to secure a spot in the final four.  We rematched nicely against Langford, coming up with a thrilling come-from-behind 5-4 win.  The gold medal game, however, went to the Coquitlam Classics as Storm just couldn't overcome some mental and physical mistakes on the field.  We're still proud of their accomplishments, however.  Storm and Classics made the 8pm sailing home & sailed together making their presence known on the sun deck of the ferry!
