The young ladies of Storm 2003A capped off a very strong 2018 campaign with an exclamation point in the form of their second Provincial Bronze Medal this past weekend at U16A Provincials. 

With a tough round robin draw, the girls knew they would have to bring their very best to ensure they could finish high enough in the standings to make the playoffs and when it mattered, they did not disappoint, overcoming a tough 14-0 loss to the eventual champions Renegades 02, the girls bounced back and delivered decisive wins in their last three round robin games; Fusion 03 (5-1), Fusion 02 (11-0) and Devils 02 (2-1) - which was good enough to get them third seed and a date with Pride 03 for their first playoff game. 

In their third game of the day Saturday in 30 degree heat the girls delivered a near perfect no hitter to take a 7-0 win over Pride.  Sunday morning they saw eventual silver medalists, Titans 02 & competed hard, but fell short with a 4-1 loss. Dropping to the loser side of the bracket, the girls had a re-match with Fusion 02 & delivered a solid all around game ending up with a 7-1 win, eliminating Fusion & securing themselves a top four finish.  For their third back to back game of the day battling heat & sick players, the girls faced Devils 03 & despite a lengthy delay due to a Devils protest & ending up behind early, the girls hung on and battled back late in the game to secure a come from behind win. 

Moving on to their fourth back to back game of the day in what was probably the hottest day of the year so far, the girls had a re-match with the titans and battled hard, but came up short losing 6-1.   The loss was made sweeter by knowing in losing they'd "won" bronze.
